For Sharper, Clearer Images In Bigger Screen Display – Use SVideo VGA Converter

No matter how beautiful the content of a video is, you will not enjoy viewing if the images are not clear and the colors are irregular. Research had been continuous and the result of hard work is commendable. The modern technology brought enhanced resolution in our monitors and image displays. Computer users share the gratitude for having come up with high definition video and we credit the discoverers of svideo VGA cables. The use and effectiveness of svideo VGA has to be disseminated so that its full utility is extended to all users. This is just a way of saying thanks for this innovation.

S-video is a signal which is used to improve the quality of images. This interface is better that the previously used composite video format. The old composite video carries brightness and color with a single wire so much so that limitations to the production of full vivid color results. With the invention of s video, the brightness and color passes through two wires – one is for brightness and the other is for color with a remarkable result of clearer, sharper and better resolution of the different images. This s video now became the standard connection to new models of television. VGA (video graphics array) is an indication of the quantity of colors controlled by a device. With the VGA 65,536 colors are accounted, compared to the old CGA which deals with eight colors only. From this, you can see the great difference in the color display of the old and the new monitors.

What are the uses of svideo VGA converter?

This converter is needed if the internal video card of a computer cannot display TV/DVD s video formats. When connected, the converter can change the display on the television with images comparable to those produced by VGA monitors.

This converter connects video sources like cameras, gaming consoles and DVD players to VGA or LCD monitors. Computer users always desire to view the images in the computer monitor with high quality resolution.

When users want to use a second monitor, this converter can be utilized without the need to buy a dual video card. This is cost efficiency on the part of the users.

Xbox360, PS3, Nintendo Wii, DVD and TV DVR can be viewed from the computer monitor with clearer and more vivid images.

The s video VGA converter has a pass-through where even if the computer is turned-off, its signal can be processed independently.

The converter can send a display of images to the TV or large screen and these images are recorded through VCR or DVDR.

Indeed many users opt for the use of s video VGA because of their desire to view their computer output in a larger screen such as TV or projector. The computer output can come from their gaming equipments, LCD projectors, camcorders and DVDs. Even if these devices are run through the computer, the viewing is enabled by the converter to be done through a higher definition display screen.

But as a user, you must exercise caution. If you are not very certain as to the type of needed converter, it is wise to take note of the exact specifications and features of your video card. Know the model and maker; otherwise if you buy a non-compatible attachment, the function is not achieved. So for your svideo VGA converter, buy the appropriate type for your screen display.

Choosing Your VGA Capture Device – Cost vs. Quality

Capture and grab – these are new terminologies relevant to electronics devices. Technological advancement enables DVI and VGA capture of signals. How can you capture the signals and what will you choose as device? VGA capture is the chosen device!

There are several methods to capture a VGA or DVI signal. The captured signals can be from different sources such as computer, projectors, radars, medical devices or servers. Different solutions had been designed to capture the VGA signals; they can be simple and inexpensive or they can be costly high quality solution devices.

The screen casting or screen recording software has been used before the VGA capture solution. The advantage of the VGA capture is the absence of software to be installed on the source equipment. The captured signal is a one to one copy of the VGA output. Once the video has been captured, these data can be broadcasted over the web. They can also be archived for future viewing. Furthermore, they can be edited. Video capture will be through an internal PCI card, known as capture card. This card is similar to a frame grabber, a device to capture video stream, transfer the captured data into a PC readable format. Other names given to this card are VGA grabber, VGA capture card, VGA capture device or RGB capture card.

Types of VGA capture devices

1. VGA to video converter

These solutions are low-priced. They have marginal quality and low frame rate. This is a device that captures VGA signals and changes these signals into video signals such as RCA component or S-Video. You can view these signals through your television. For this device, you can use any video card that has a video-in that will record the video signal into the computer. Or – you may use an external capture device to record your output. The resolutions for this low-priced marginal quality VGA capture is relatively low – 640 x 480. Some users who are not very choosy can be contented with this VGA to video capture solution.

2. Frame grabbers

Frame grabbers are more expensive but they are high quality and fast frame rate. They also have high resolutions. The price of this device can be three times or more of the lower-priced devices. Frame grabbers grab analog VGA signal, then the captured signal can be converted into digital USB stream which can be read by your computer.

The VGA to video solution will be used by users who are not very particular of the quality of the capture and people who have a tight budget. Most however still prefer the USB and PCI frame grabbers because of the quality of output.

The two types of frame grabbers

External over USB – The manufacture of high quality external (over USB) frame grabbers are manufactured by Epiphan Systems.

Internal over PCI – Manufacturers of the internal (over PCI) frame grabbers are EMS Imaging, foresight Imaging, Unigraf, PixelSmart and Ncast.

All these devices (VGA to video and frame grabbers) can save the captured images as series of pictures such as JPEG and PNG and video file such as AVI and MPEG. Some support Windows Media Encoder or Quick Time Broadcaster in order for the user to broadcast and share the captured VGA stream. The frame grabbers capture high resolution images – sharp in colors and high frame rates.

Users of VGA capture devices had to be decisive in choosing between the low-priced and the expensive one. Choosing a lower quality device may lead you to regret the low resolution output. It is best to read and research on these applications then find out which is most optimal.

S Video To Coaxial Cable Saves Your Money

You are so naïve! You are not versed on the different uses of cable connectors. To you, one cable is just like the other. But – you are very wrong. S video to coaxial is one very useful cable whose uses you must know. So, do you have budget for a new television? Your TV is so antiquated and the resolution is not vivid. And – it is not compatible with your new laptop. So you have a problem? Will you buy a new TV so that your laptop can be connected to it? Well, you do not have to! Your old TV can be functional for the purpose. All that is needed is to spend a little amount on an s video to coaxial cable.

It is good to understand the meaning of s video and coaxial as separate items. The s video is known as separate video, sometimes super video. Whatever it is, the s video (Y/C) is a signal – an analog video signal. Its function is to carry two signals, separate, to transmit images as luma (luminance) and chroma (color). Coaxial is an electrical cable, called so because of the presence of an inner conductor and an outer shield. The inner and outer are travelling on the same axis – hence it is called coaxial. The coaxial cable carries radio signals. What then is the purpose of using s video (for luma and chroma) to analog radio waves called coaxial?

The s video to coax (shortened term for coaxial) allows connection of a computer to the television. The connector is used because the computer, maybe a laptop, has a video output different from the antenna input of the old television. In essence you can now use your very aged television with a new generation laptop.

The s video to coaxial cable will course the s video and audio video to the television from the laptop. Plug one end to the laptop and the other end to the antenna of the TV. One end of the cable is s video for the computer’s output and the other end is for the coaxial input.

Take one common example of using the s video to coaxial. Plug the computer’s DVD output with s video to the TV coax antenna. The image will have an extraordinary brightness which will easily fade and adjust to normal brightness because of the macroplast protection. Other devices with s video output that can be connected with the coaxial TV antenna are laptops, flexcam cameras and other cameras that are embedded with s video output. You will notice that the later models of devices have this s video output. Thus, any new device can be made compatible with an old television – just with the use of this cable. With the s video to coaxial device, you can shift s video to a television display accepting any TV with coaxial or sometimes RCA a/v phono jacks. It depends on the coax package you are going to buy.

Here are the features of a good quality s video to axial cable – S video to RCA convertor which you can choose from 6 feet, 12 feet or 24 feet length, input for video, input for stereo audio (both for the left and right channels), input for the coaxial antenna, a power supply and an auto switching feature. This switch is to save you from constant hooking or unhooking the coaxial input in your television.

Cables are really cost efficient. Imagine not discarding your old television for a new one that can be attached to your laptop! With just a minimal expense on an s video to coaxial cable, you can enjoy your DVD on your old television and with good resolution at that!

Revealing The Benefits Of Shifting – VGA To SVideo

The most common viewing medium for movies is television. However, with the advent of high technology computers, viewing has a new alternative medium – the computer monitor. Whichever device is used, it is good to have a VGA to S-video converter. This will make the images better in color and resolution. VGA to S-video is now being used by many computer users, as they enjoy the high density LCD monitor.

The unending desire to come up with the latest in technology has resulted to the development of different devices. Even if the devices change in model very frequently, different adapters and converters are being manufactured to make the old and new technologies compatible. The video graphics array (VGA) and the separate video (s-video) are among the cables developed – intended primarily for better image resolutions. The VGA is the standard display for computers. Whereas the VGA display is already vivid; it is still the subject of continuing improvement. New models may have better resolutions. The S-video on the other hand carries the signals (video and audio) via two wires and this is connected to the output device. The s-video is standard kind of output for the newer version of television – the high definition TV.

The VGA to s-video adapter is needed because of differing graphics option of the television and computer. This device tends to make them compatible. The adapter is the device that would allow viewing in the TV the corresponding computer output, or vice versa. The VGA plug has 15 pins placed in three rows and this is used to connect to the TV. The s-video has four circular holes and this is used to plug to various devices like the DVD players and gaming consoles.

Features of VGA to SVideo converter

The VGA to s-video is your device to watch TV and VGA computer monitors simultaneously. The process of transmission of signal goes this way. The converter will connect to the computer’s VGA output which will allow the pass-through of the VGA signal to the VGA computer monitor. At this same time, it will send s-video to the television, VCR or DVDR. This converter is powered by a USB socket which you will find on your desktop or laptop. This will give power. You can have other optional power supply if you do not want to use the USB port.

Requirements of VGA to SVideo

There is a need for a VGA output coming from the computer. S-video converter produces a VGA resolution mode equal to 1600 x 1200 high. There must be a ready USB port for power supply. But in case there is no USB port, an alternative source of power can be substituted. This cannot function without a TV or any other s-video monitor for the viewing purposes. If you want to burn your videos, the device must have DVD or VCR burners

So today, the VGA to s-video is not any ordinary gadget or attachment. In fact it is the gateway to better viewing using two display units – computer monitor and television. Once this converter is set-up it is very easy to use.

Advantages Of Having A Composite To VGA Adapter

If I ask you to choose where you would want to watch video – computer monitor or television screen? There are big reasons for choosing the computer monitor but we cannot just watch a video via computer monitor. They are not compatible since one is a composite video and the other is a VGA. But you are assured you can do it – have a powerful gadget in composite to VGA adapter. It is true that inventions had paved way to mere conversions than buying again different electronic device. The prevalence of adapters and cables attested to this need, so much so that the market is flooded with composite to VGA converters.

To better understand how composite to VGA cable works, understand first what is composite and what is VGA?.

What is a composite video?

Composite video is a very ordinary video interface – the most common. It is an interface designed to send and receive signals from television. The video signal is of analog type. Typical example of the composite video is television. Players for VHS, DVD or game console can be connected to a television through the video composite interface. Have you seen an audiovisual connector in your homes? You might not know how it is called, but this is the cable you connect to the tv and the player. One end has three jacks – the yellow is the female RCA jack, the red and white are the audio jacks. The red and white jacks are used to connect to the stereo system’s channel – red for the right channel and white for the left channel. The yellow jack is for rounding out the whole set of jacks.

What is VGA?

VGA stands for video graphics array. Again, this cable is common in your house. This is the cable that connects a computer to another computer. The VGA is likewise an analog interface and it is also used to connect the computer to the monitor through a 15-pin plug.

The composite video and video graphics array are very incompatible. So – there were doubts that they can be used together. But then, it was a glorious invention – a piece of hardware, an unknown cable did all the wonders.

How to convert composite to VGA –

This is a very easy procedure. Take hold of the two ends of the adapter. Plug one end to the VGA plug-in. take the other end and plug it to the composite end. You can also use this adapter the other way round, meaning conversion is from VGA to composite. Either way, the adapter is an astonishing gadget.

Uses of the composite to VGA adapter

Your DVD player or gaming console has a high definition or RCA cable. You can run these devices into your computer monitor with the aid of the composite to VGA cable. What is your rationale of watching in a computer monitor rather than television screen? The PC monitor has a better video image because it is high definition.

With this adapter, you can watch a movie from a DVD player just with your PC monitor as display. Again, your screen has a higher resolution and the movie has natural colors.

Video gamers would want to play using the computer monitor. With laptops they can play with mobility and they can join the LAN of gamers. They can play games with each other by hooking their consoles together. Then they play games through system linking.

With the benefits of using a composite to VGA adapter/cable, you can enjoy watching DVD or play games excitedly on your HD LCD computer monitor. The image resolution before your eyes is indeed very lucid. After all, computers now are not used for computing jobs and emails only. You can use it as a substitute for television.

The Versatility of Adapters and Cables – Have The S-Video To VGA Connector

Perfect viewing is perfect video and perfect audio. The undying passion for innovation is unending. As a result, different types of electronic gadgets come and go. Every replacement of model is usually a better device. And you – tech conscious are also on the look-out for new gadgets. You act as a watchdog of new developments in the field of computing. New inventions become your passion.

One major electronic device owned by consumers is the television. You are motivated to watch tv because of its high resolution and clear audio. So – how do we attain high resolution and good audio viewing? Are the televisions the only medium? Or – can you use your PC monitor? These questions are becoming difficult to comprehend by a non-tech savvy individual. The reaction will always be – how come? But – there is nothing impossible to innovative technology.

Some years ago, the only medium of viewing VCRs, and camcorders are the television. Today, after several innovative discoveries, a personal computer monitor delivers viewing output. And – the picture or image and audio from this simple monitor is as good as that of a television unit. So – you can play games and watch the playback of your camcorder in a PC monitor. Gone are the days when you have to wait for somebody watching television. Even laptops are used for this purpose. How do we do this? – That is the versatility of adapters and cords.

What is S-Video? What is VGA?

S-Video or separate video is a video signal – an analog one and video data, through it, are carried to two different signals – the luminance and color. The S-video gives a standard definition video. It does not carry with it audio – just image.

VGA or video graphics array provides the resolution for our viewing pleasure. It is not digital – just analog and cannot be used by an older version monitor.

What does the S-video to VGA cables and adapters do?

These adapters/cables will give the viewer the finest and best computer graphics, very high resolution.

It enables you the possibility to have a HD (high density) viewing.

It will enable you to connect DVDs, VCRs and camcorders to a computer monitor.

It allows you to play your console gaming on your PC monitor.

The audio is reasonably clear as it passes through amplified speakers.

It is adaptable to NTSC and PAL video signals.

The price is reasonable; very affordable.

It is available worldwide – in site stores and on-line stores.

Are you just contented with your current electronic gadget? You are behind! Buy an S-video to VGA converter and enjoy the high resolution, good audio of your gaming console, DVD or camcorder in your PC monitor. It seems the utility of a television is diminishing. But – television manufacturers will not allow this to happen. The competition goes on and so – innovations and new gadgets will again emerge.
